Spring Break Travel Plans + Preparation

February 27, 2019

I truly cannot stop thinking about summer. I miss the warmth and the sunshine so much - I am definitely starting to feel that seasonal depression coming on strong right about now. Thankfully, in about 2 weeks (OMG!!) my sister and I will be on a cruise that leaves the port of Miami and goes to Key West and Cozumel, Mexico. After that we will be staying in Miami for an extra couple of days to hang out with Mike and his friends! Is it bad that I want to start packing already?! Lol.
Speaking of packing, here are some items/products I'd really love to have before I leave for my trip:

Packing organizers: These things look so cool! I saw Allana Davison mention them in her story the other day and I bet that they help keep everything super organized and easy to find! Every time I pack for a trip the inside of my suitcase looks like it got thrown out the plane- so I really think these would help tremendously! They'd also be really great for outfit planning and a method to not over pack as well :)

Hand held steamer: I literally do not own a steamer and I don't know how I have survived this long. Lately, I've been finding myself in need of one a lot more often (I think my closet is starting to get so stuffed that there isn't enough room for the clothes to breathe so they are getting wrinkled because they're all pressed together. ugh!) I wouldn't bring this on the actual trip with me (every pound counts and I'm not paying an extra fee for going over 50 lbs lol) but this would be super helpful to prep all of my summer clothes that are in a bin in my garage right now!

I am such a book worm when it comes to relaxing vacations - that is seriously all I want to do on this upcoming trip! My plan is to: work out every morning, lay by the pool, read and sleep. Like I am so excited to just disconnect and unplug and immerse myself in someone else plot line! I love reading summery-themed books like ones that are based in Nantucket or something, so I may purchase another Nancy Thayer novel (super sappy romance books but god bless I love them) but I also really want to check out this book called Paris Letters! It sounds really interesting and I want to start reading more books that are centered around Paris- it's one of my bucket list destinations for sure!

Lo & Sons Catalina Weekender Bag (small): I bet you have seen this bag all over social media- with the lady fitting a huge pile of things that are set outside of the bag all organized and neatly into it. This baby has so much space inside and all different compartments to help keep your things organized. This would be so helpful when traveling! I know it's on the pricier side, but I think it will last f o r e v e r.

I've linked above some of my most essential travel items when I go on vacations! They really make life so much easier when traveling :)

Have a great rest of your week!
